LIWP, I agree about people being most concerned about their investments, but only around half of Americans have investments. The rest are concerned about how far their dollar goes, are the streets safe, is my welfare check on time etc. Priorities are very much reflective of socio economic status.

I believe most if not all people care about how far their dollar goes, if their streets are safe, and if their check comes on time. As far as political issues, in my opinion, the majority of what goes on in Washington doesn't affect me much one way or the other, so I really don't worry about it much and feel most people feel the same way even if they don't admit it.

With the size and speed of data analysis available today, the government should have been able to eliminate or reduce significantly the exorbitant scams.

That's a issue here in Maine too. Over the summer we have a lot of high schoolers helping in order to get their "service hours". It works out well for us old-timers looking for someone to move the heavy stuff. LOL!
