Title: AMAC June 7, Northfield 5th race
Post by: JL52 on June 20, 2026, 12:31:41 PM
Anthony has been deservedly criticized for his driving, and for his billing practices. But this one tops them all. In the Northfield 5th on June 7, his horse broke past the quarter. So, he takes the horse to the outside fence and turns the horse to head pack to the paddock, WHILE THE RACE IS ONGOING.  The judges see this, and as the field passes the half, declare the race a NO CONTEST. You will see him returning the horse towards the paddock, as the other drivers pull up their horses.
He got fined $1000, and suspended for a week, but I would drop him to a Probationary license. I never saw anything like this.

Few comments:

1. He is lucky someone did not beat the shit out of him as I know people that had to ship in to race only to let this complete asshole idiot deprive them of any money. He should have been fined the amount of the purse money and then had it distributed to the horses that did race.
2. The fine means nothing to him as all his lackey owners just had their bills increased by 25 cents.
3. People than worship AMac and his practices are complete morons as I can't wait for his buddies to comment here and defend his actions

That was a bonehead move BUT did they really have to make the race a no contest?

I watched it live
Ruled a no contest out of abundance of caution
Lots of accidents in Ohio recently
Total bone headed move

No worries! The Suckers I mean shareholders will cover the fine!; Along with a note that says something like this" Do to the fact that the horse whirled around affecting the race,we have been assessed a $1000 fine that we are liable for.  The good news is prior to this happening, this horse was better than ever and would have won by open lengths. Secondly there's not a driver on the planet who could have kept this horse traveling in the proper direction. Thank you for your understanding and dress nice next time he races if you will be attending live, because we're getting our picture taken. SINCERELY A.M. tmbz1 ngc3

So Monday morning at Northfield horses will be training.

Some alone, some in groups of 3...4...5.

How many horses will be jogging the opposite way when these horses are training?

not an AM fan here

Just a matter of time before he gets someone killed.

I have to agree AMAC is absolutely totally brain dead for that move. It cost me the pick 5. And it would be really amazing to see a copy of the judges ruling on his suspension and $1000 fine. In 50 years of watching and wagering on horses. I’ve never seen a clown like amac turn the horse going the wrong way while the race was in progress.

My question is did the horse break down? Did the horse break equipment that causes the pull up?  If the amswer to both is no and he just did that cause he was mad/frustrated then I see penalty being fit. If it was due to either of my questions then I dont like the penalty but I can understand you can not have horses gping to the wrong way

It has to be a cult: owners flying him down to Oak Grove and putting him up for two days and Dex is sitting in the paddock with no drive. That is beyond arrogant and just reckless on AMac's part.

Owners have no say as Amac thinks the Stable.Ca is Ron Burke Jr. and he thinks he is a wannabee grand circuit driver when in fact he is a never has and never will be a good driver. I was told that in the last few days when he post parades a horse someone is yelling to him to keep going left when he leaves the gate

broke hobble
If this is true then it could be dangerous to keep going and the shortest route back to the paddock was obviously pulling up and walking back like he did.   With him being on the far outside and the horse was under control I dont see the harm.. he did what he probably assumed was the safest

or maybe just pull the horse up and stay out of harms way until the horses pass you
it would be different if one of the lines broke but a broken hobble does not sound like a life threatening situation for horse or human

Dreadful is an understatement. 3 two yr olds were beat an average of 20 lengths. I’m sure he will have a good excuse though. Track, shoes, blood, virus, scope, post position, short and prob another 10. I drove them great though. Not sure wtf he was doing with Dega. Starting pounding on her at the 5/8 and never let up until the wire. Just pull, sit and save some for the last 1/8th. If he’s trying to take the heart out of her & jailbird jog he’s sure trying his best. They are 2 nice filly’s ( not great but nice) and at this rate they wont last 1/2 a season. Please put an “A” driver up on both.

FanBoy Amac living his best life. He happened to snag a couple of real nice horses out of the 50 he bought but clearly doesn't  have mental capacity to ensure they shine for a few years. Instead he's the Uber boy hanging with the cheat swede and two A list catch drivers. My prediction is he will fuck it up as he's always been a horrible trainer--proof is Tim and Eric both get good results with Stable horses---and to boot has become a narcissist along the way. But hey, he isn't doing anything illegal.

rodeo form sure, good thing he was yelling and urging the horse on in its first start  for $10k !!
but on a similar note wrenns horse makes a bad break, lucky amac did not run over him
wrenn goes sideways inside numerous pylons and then he tries to rejoin the race and almost creates another accident just before the finish line, why??, just pull the horse up rather than fighting for $500 purse, why risk injury or worse??
