Getting back to the actual subject while you 2 act like spoiled brats, this just seems like a rerun with Trump and Iran:

Blockade lifting but not until Friday maybe.

Israel agrees or not as it’s still in Lebanon.

Negotiations over Iran's nuclear program would continue over the next 60 days.

The deal likely returns the region to a status that existed before the war, but with Iran having proven its ability to disrupt shipping in the strait.

So, what’s different from before?

Many countries have internal issues.  Were these deaths solely contributed to the war??  Nothing to do with the right/left Andrew-just simple common sense!
Look at the spin the right put out!  It is far from truthful. The deflection continues when you say it this way.
Don’t forget approximately 150 children were killed because of faulty intelligence that the current powers refused to acknowledge. FYI, this has been corroborated by many outside sources.

And deservedly so!

When Djt mocks and ridicules people, his supporters love it!

However, when people criticize Djt the same way, look at the response you get.
They don’t like it and can’t handle it!

What comes around goes around!

The longer Trump is alive, the more people will get to mock, laugh, and ridicule him!

When trump leaves planet earth, one can only imagine what will really be said. Most of it won’t be too pretty to listen to and just wait and see what will actually be printed in social media and other places.

True, we are all outsiders. I'm sure when he leaves office in 2028 at 82 years old, he'll need a break. Being President makes anybody old fast. We had some family at the event last night. Said it was a blast. I final match where the 6-1 underdog won the championship was a wild affair. I'm not really a big MMA fan. But my son loves it and told me which match to watch. LOL!

Title: Re: Good news Saturday

I've watched him speak on numerous occasions and have not seen any significant decline when he talks. Of course only his doctor knows for sure. The aging process in unpredictable because of the many nuances of a persons health. He has been caught snoozing at meetings. But we saw that with Presidents Biden & Bush too! Hey, i'm 68 and need a nap everyday. The pressure on a President has got to be unnerving. But he will serve out his term and like most Americans, we'll keep an eye out on his health. Like we should.

I consider myself totally unbiased when it comes to politics and rarely comment because it usually ends up in a back and forth. As far as a decline in Trump mentally, I do believe there has been some but that comes with age. I still feel overall he's pretty sharp. I've also found that people who support either party tend to be in denial when their candidate starts showing signs of slowing down with reduced cognitively. Anyone with eyes could see Biden wasn't all there but were afraid to speak up, I think the same applies with Trump but to a lesser degree. It's too bad they can't pass a law for age limit when it comes to running for public office.

I agree. An age limit for Presidents is a great idea. Probably for all Congressional members. And each parties hard line members jump on any sign that might hint the President is beginning to decline in health. It was impossible for the left to hide President Bidens issues. As it would be for the right to hide any of President Trumps problems. But most polls i've read say that most Americans don't think President Trump is showing sides of declining. They disagree with his policies. Detest him as a human being. And that's OK. That's what politics is all about. LOL!

During Biden's rapid decline, he went missing from the public eye for weeks.
If Trump is declining to a lesser degree, he is in no way avoiding microphones and cameras, not even for a day!

I don't disagree with you about Biden, and they obviously hid him so would be voters wouldn't see how much he had declined. It may have worked the first time but it wasn't going to fly the second time, and he had no business even seeking a 2nd term, but think his ego and family got in the way.
Trump loves the spotlight so he's not going to avoid microphones and cameras.

So you’re not a fan, yet you support what his policies are!  Look at his integrity!  Go back to the 1970’s and his legal issues then. Look at 2026 and where we are today!  He is a lot worse today than back then!  Read this from all sources!

Rainman2, I like the sound of these trends .....

U.S. GDP is projected to grow 2.8% in 2026, with quarterly fluctuations influenced by consumption, investment, and policy changes.
Projected Growth
The U.S. economy is expected to expand at an annual rate of 2.8% in 2026, with fourth-quarter year-over-year growth projected at 2.5%, slightly above the consensus estimate of 2.1% (Goldman Sachs Research)

Quarterly Trends

Key Drivers
Consumption and Investment: Consumer spending and business investment, particularly in equipment and intellectual property, are major contributors to GDP growth

Government Policy: Tax incentives from the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) are expected to boost disposable income and business investment

Summary
Overall, the U.S. GDP in 2026 is expected to grow steadily at 2.8% annually, supported by tax cuts, consumer spending, and investment, while facing moderate fiscal constraints and labor supply limitations. Quarterly fluctuations will reflect inventory adjustments, import patterns, and policy impacts, with inflation remaining moderate at around 2.1% by year-end.

You fail to mention where inflation is now and will go.
Right now prices are up all across the board for the average American.

You also have to deal with trump and his mood swings where things can change in the blink of an eye.

Add to the fact of the open grifting in what Trump does. This doesn’t look good to the every day American. But he doesn’t care. Only himself and his inner circle.

Perception means everything, especially in the eyes of everyone.  Right now trump lacks this in the eyes of the every day American.

Are his ideas right? But you need proper perception in why you do things in life and trump clearly doesn’t have this and this is why we have the troubles we have today. If you push your agenda more politely, you have a better chance of it succeeding. You have a majority in both sides of the legislative branch and you fail to accomplish things because of his demeanor toward everyone including the people you need to help you be successful.

Think the 2.1% inflation rate is unrealistic considering it was 2.7% last year. Even as gas prices continue to come down, food prices continue to rise.

Get the numbers from multiple sources before you use your numbers

I recently read a prediction of 4.2% for inflation with a core inflation prediction of 2.7% which excludes volatile items like gasoline and food. My guess is someone in between the two, but people from both parties like to play around with the numbers to use against the other party.

If the war ends as expected and the Strait is opened, gas should come down and take us back to early year trends.

In my area, gas has dropped from a high of $4.49 down to $3.79. I retired in January of 2009 and gas was 1.429 a gallon then. When I got my driver's license in the late 1960's gas was under 30 cents a gallon.

Actually my first job out of high school was for $3.00 an hour but I also made another $50 per week under the table. Unfortunately, I got laid off after 9 months and collected $65 per week in unemployment comp for 39 weeks. Back then our family of 5 went to a nice restaurant and had full course steak dinners and the entire bill was around $30.

Growing up there was a fast-food place named Dick Clark's Steer Inn, a mile away. We used to ride our bikes there. Hamburgers were 12 cents, cheeseburgers, 15 cents, same for fries and the best milkshakes ever 20 cents.
