Title: The Adios
Post by: jupiter on June 04, 2026, 11:18:23 AM
A Grade 1 Stake, years ago, but I don't think so now. Doesn't get all the top colts. The Adioo Volo is a Grade 3

Hurt by the calendar.  Most of the top colts will be coming off Meadowlands Pace and aren’t interested in dropping back in the box.  With the state programs being so lucrative and dual eligibility a lot of the second tier grand circuit races have suffered.  Hell even the Metro didn’t attract all of the big names 3 year olds last year because the Ohio and Kentucky side stakes finals were all around the same time

Isn't the Metro pace for 2 year olds not three?

With the end of heat racing, every event takes two weeks and often an extra week off so some of the events are not attractive.

so far the na cup is shaping up as race of the year, assuming all top colts make the final
of course there is still meadowlands pace and breeders crown for these top ones to square off but shit happens, they get sick, injured, off form et cand the race doesn't live up

Expectations, doubt it lives up.

Long year still, no one not already undefeated (everyone but BJ) need to blow their horse out because they want to win and unseat BJ's status and win the race that's impossible with him in it.

BJ for fun.

The bottom line is the purse for what grade it is.

Are there any t-bred races that have the same issue for being a big race to a not so big race with the same name??

Merlin hit the nail on the head. The really good ones have burnin in NAC  + M[1] Pace.
Plus how can it be an Adios without the MOUTH ?  ngc3
