Title: Harrington Positive
Post by: Kirby's Ace on May 20, 2026, 12:05:22 AM
Kevin Lare

Looks like another positive test (Number10) his name. Tonight Harrington Race 8 #6 Scratch TUS.

I guess he'll be back on Frank Chicks advisory board!

*This ruling is in abbreviated form, contact the DHRC for complete ruling text* On April 20, 2026, Kevin Lare participated in an informational hearing with the DHRC Board of Judges regarding a post-race positive test for Oxymorphone. Walter Callahan (DHRC License #2369) was the trainer of record of Primo Maschio for the Kevin Lare Stable when Primo Maschio raced in the 11th race at Baily`s Dover on March 26, 2026. Primo Maschio finished first, blood and urine were collected in the containment area after the race by and under the supervision of DHRC Chief Veterinarian, Dr Claire Wellman. Specimen ID #676757 was safely and securely shipped to Industrial Labs in Denver, CO, and on April 13, 2026, reported a positive finding that Oxymorphone, a Class 1 drug, was present in the urine sample. Per Lare’s request, the split sample was sent to EQIAS Labs, which confirmed the presence of oxymorphone in the urine. On January 15, 2026, DHRC Presiding Judge, Robert Corey issued Lare a 3 month, temporary conditional license, and this license was renewed for 3 months on April 19, 2026. Lare signed the temporary conditional license agreements in January and again in April. In accordance with DHRC Rule 5.1.16 and per the conditions of this license agreement, "if you violate any provision of the DHRC rules and regulations, or the laws and statutes of the state of Delaware, of any other jurisdiction, and/or the United States of America, you may be suspended and may be subject to further disciplinary actions up to and including license revocation." Mr. Lare has violated the terms of his temporary license agreement. As a result, the DHRC Board of Judges revokes Mr. Lare`s license and imposes an indefinite suspension. Any and all transfers of horses that Kevin Lare is listed as the trainer of record must be approved by the DHRC Board of Judges.

Lare has proven time and time again that if he is allowed to race, he's going to CHEAT!  11.wp

All they need is his name.

He needs never to touch the horse.

Its all about the show and everyone knows it. Even the judges.

Kevin is Delawares version of Marylands Wagner.

One more thing
How can you give Kevin Lare a conditional license after 9 previous positives and not give Sean Bier the same conditional license?
For practically the same situation!

I liked to hear a judges statement on that!

I think the answer to this one is more about personality then test failures unfortunately
I've never heard kevin say 2 words
Sean never stops talking.
Would hate to think its personal but it certainly appears more than meets the eyes

I think Chick should get days as well as for employing known chemist. he hired them and should be held liable for their actions. Walter got what he deserves from the old saying "Them who lay with dogs gets fleas"
