It was small run down, the roof in places was coming down, and I think only the flats used it. Soon after it was torn down.
No lights on the mile track.
We raced harness on a half mile track.
Then they made it a 5/8s.
On Sundays afternoons we would race on the mile track till it started to get dark then switch to the 5/8s.
Then they finally put lights on the mile track.

Post by: GOAT on May 17, 2026, 03:20:52 PM: Before it was known as Balmoral it was called Lincoln Fields way back in the 1930's. TBred track originally, stared harness on a half mile oval in 1968. A distant relative of mine use to run a tack shop on the backside. Fond memories. I had my biggest wagering night at Balmoral when I hit a $ 600 daily double.
