My guess it was maybe homeless/squatters living on the property? Anyway it's sad as I use to go there all the time for live racing. Let's burn down Hawthorne next and then no live racing in Chicago ever again.

Back in its day Balmoral was a good track to bet. That had a young Tetrick, Andy Miller, Morgan, Magee, & others too. The horse quality was decent too.
