Finally Yonkers security guards removed The Manager from the winners circle when he tried to go in after Tarapasta won the final.
What a great nite.
-
Too bad they didn't have an announcer you could listen.
-
I never saw him go in when the connections go in.
Just on any normal Yonkers atm night, just race for routine money and no cares, just him and MK.
He's a good guy, good spirits, they could of let him in and told him to stay off to the side silently if he looked clean.
Would he of listened, seems like he'd do well here at plop.
He alone is a solid % of their attendance ngc3

He must have / been in more WC pics than anyone on this site ngc3

Obviously, one of the owners requested that TM be removed from the shot.

I was always wondering who he was when he’d pop up in the Winners Circle. Love his Disco 70’s White outfit with hat. At first I thought he was a pimp the drivers would use to procure women.

I believe the outfit went out of style in the 1980’s.
Rumor has it that PIGLAND is a friend of his.
Hopefully they’ll be discussion on this thread.

He video bombed Gural during a Hambo interview with dancing that jig for 1m 50s before that obese Staff fatso who was dying of exhaustion walking 5 feet ngc3 had him move on, by then the interview was wrapping up.
He's the most natural part of harness racing crazy where it's mostly artificially crazy and we just watch and shake our heads. ngc3
The Manager is an Icon! ;D

Hard to believe new money doesn't go into harness racing. And will always be a distant 2nd to the T-breds.
-
He shouldn't be in winners circle...it's inapproiate. Does he buy a picture?

Hard to believe new money doesn't go into harness racing. And will always be a distant 2nd to the T-breds.
Distant 2nd is a very good way of putting it.
The hard to believe part is more of a personal opinion, but let's explore...
The major networks don't line up to bring harness racing to their audience, because their audience represents a very small single digit fraction of those that find harness racing entertaining.
The Hambletonian is the exception and that'll be on Fox Sports (FS1 or FS2), but that's subscription cable i.e. not a free channel.
Also, if harness racing was to make a resurgence in popularity it would be day racing, because the prime time / night competition is a tough task to beat for ratings.
I always thought a big walkout, attempt to cleanse it, and bring it back with a new found integrity...would boost awareness for everyone and resurge the gambling to self sustain it.
Worth a shot, but take the welfare money and run, an entire sport acting incredulously of its reality happens before our eyes....better than on the extinction list, which some would argue with you that's where it might end up.

The managers a character and happens to be a great guy

Does he have a license? Was he fingerprinted? If not, should not be allowed in the paddock OR in the winners' circle, although these days they let anyone into the winners' circle because they don't have the money to have the proper security.

Think how life would of been if Walter Case Jr. had the representation of The Manager way back when. ngc3
