Not sure I ever remember seeing an eight-horse field (of $5,000 claimers) with no "show" betting.

Monti will always wipe out show betting on any five-horse field - or a field that has an absolute monster running, to prevent a minus show pool - but a full field of $5,000 claimers seems very odd.

What am I missing here?

Looks like Monticello missed out on making a few bucks today!

I always wanted to see a bet that you pick the winner and the last horse across the line bet!
