I looked at the drivers for HoP for this week and it took me back to the haydays of Sportsmans Park.
Dale Hiteman 05/25/1956 8,767 wins $70,246,174
Lavern Hostetler 05/16/1952 3,652 wins $26,223,132
Dan Shetler 01/12/1950 2,714 wins $28,273,385
All three had top stables (yes) "back in the good old days".
And throw in Joel Smith with Desperate Lady.

The bad part in those days was getting paid for drivers. Back when I raced the only direct payment came from Windsor Raceway. " Catch up with you when my Owner pays his bill" was a common phrase heard while hanging up the lines back then!
