Rumors are flying around that MGM wants unload the casino and track to a British consortium
-
During the last race at Northfield Park last night, the track announcer said Northfield will be called Northfield Racino or something like that when racing resumed Wednesday night. MGM sold that also.

I guess this wouldn't be a surprise. Their story was they withdrew their bid to convert the current casino to a full-blown casino, due to "changed economic circumstances" and the reduction from a 30-year licensing term to 15 years. Casino companies are in the casino business and do not want to be the horseracing business. Handwriting on the walls, and in big, bold letters.
