Post by: Janny on April 18, 2026, 11:53:22 AM
Did a nice 1:50Q  at Southern Oaks TC yesterday. Anyone know when his first race will be?

His highly-anticipated sophomore season could begin on Saturday, May 9 in the eliminations for the WEG SBOA Stakes at Woodbine Mohawk Park.

Will be interesting if Doc has Bob follow him on summer

What would make you think that Bob would get the hook? He undefeated on the horse and in the process has driven the colt flawlessly. Can't see a world where Bob loses the drive.

Bob won't lose the drive unless he 100% falls asleep at the wheel at this point.

let us all hope Beau Jangles races a full dance card and isn't protected and babied racing strictly in OSS Gold Series events

let us see him race on the Grand Circuit without major gaps in races so he can protect his undefeated record

he certainly looks as if he is a superstar so far

That would be great,  and great for racing, but I doubt that happens. He will be in Canada at least through June. We really won't know until July when the Meadowlands Pace is. Bigger purse for that this year,so we will see

Similar buzz to Niatross but this one needs to race outside of Canada to prove to be in same talking category of potential.

The horse made $1.6 million and took on everyone in the Metro and Breeders Crown....I'm sure there will be good horses emerge and he will get beat along the way but he's also the one to beat right now.   I think Doc did an amazing job through his 2 yr old season and pointing him to the NA Cup. It's exciting to see how he'll come back.

Don't think I could improve upon that post Lance. Simply put; HOF trainer, one day HOF driver and a horse that, although managed conservatively as a two year old, gives every indication that he may run the table as a three year old. Going to be great to get a glimpse of him down here for the Meadowlands Pace.

I'd like to know what the fractions were, I couldn't find them anywhere. All I could find out is the track was heavy due to early morning rain and then partial drying.

I am hoping to see him twice in person this year, first at the LBJ and second in the B.C. at Scioto. I am 5 minutes from the first and 45 minutes from the second. He is LBJ eligible. ;D

Doc likes to race. Usually isn’t ducking anyone.

If the horse is good and sound, it's simple. They will point to the biggest and most prestigious dances. Other than that they will look for the easiest and biggest money, which is OSS money, and it keeps the colt home and less travel. The elephant in the room is.....will they race him on a half mile track, and even more, will they race him on a half here in the US.
