He won his last drive, so what happened after that to say he is in rough shape

From what I was told from a reliable source was behind the starting gate with all horses,his horse stumbled  to his knees which catapulted beckwith over the top of his horse breaking his wrist and jaw which caused a recall scratching the horse he was driving.
