Way too early to be worried about times.

Depends on whose barn they're in.  From what I heard, a few barns are checking in below 2:25!

Burke trained a couple of trotters in 10 at sunshine meadows last week.

From what was said at Sunshine Meadows, this statement is correct!  The Burke Brigade has had quite a few horses training down 'faster than they should be' at this point in time!

there is no such things as "faster than they should be " when it comes to burke training two year olds
he pushes them hard and the strong survive and the weak get moved on

if 230 is being on schedule, 215 is being 'faster than they should be'.

I believe a few other trainers do the same thing!

Can anyone name them??

Could care less what time your 2 year old is at.
What's important  ...
1. Are they healthy
2. Are they smart
3. Are they going forward

Talk to me about times, at the end of May!!

Looks like Rosecroft doesn’t have to follow the USTA 2 year old rule that says June 1 for qualifying.

If I am not mistaken, a 2yo qualified in KY about or over a month ago at this point.

Jerry Nock was always the first one in Maryland to start his 2yr olds. Most never mounted to shit.

^ A.Mac seems to always try to have them ready early, too early i.m.o

Many of his 2 yr olds get burnt out in their first 5-7 races, then most can't function the rest of the year & their 3 y.o season.

He just sold a bunch of 3 y.o's that he held over from last year(collect the bills all winter) for pennies on the dollar what they were paid for & 2 years of training bills.

Should've sold them last year, most of his get worse from 2-3

He loves winning the "sets" by open lengths, rolling them way too early.
