Jeff Gural has accomplished more in one day than you all have in your pathetic lives COMBINED!!! He owns the Meadowlands business and can run it anyway he sees fit. I have never seen such a bunch of whining little bitches that constantly complain about his methods. What remains of the elite racing and gambling community still view it as the premier venue in Harness Racing. All you are doing by criticizing M1 is embarrassing yourselves. Is it perfect? No, nothing ever is but there is nothing that comes close on a Friday or Saturday night.

Despite all the usual nonsensical " Jew hate" toward Jeff Gural, I just have one very simple question to all harness racing fans in this forum. We all know he's wealthy. If he got up one morning and just said "fuck it all, i'm going close the track and sell the land", would harness racing be better off or not?

Jeff Gural is up there in age and not in the greatest health. If they don't get a casino and he passes away will his wife choose to close the track?
When he and his wife spent a few summers at the Bungalow Colony I was staying at, he was a pretty quiet guy. I remember he gave my dad a horse named "Shadydale Yankios" that he owned. Paid $12.80. I never in a million years think he would be what he is today. I would guess he must be 77 or 78 years old by now. I'm sorry to hear his health isn't great.

Thanks Tumbleweed. What I find amazing is that folks who disagree with Jeffs Gural's running his racetracks would actually care what religion he is. It shouldn't be a factor in how you agree/disagree with his business model. If LUCPARK want's to race his stock in Kentucky or Ohio, i'm glad for him. I wish him luck. I agree that the racetracks in Kentucky, both harnness and throughbreds put out a better product that in New Jersey. Lockedin with Pace tells me Gural's going to be 84. How long will he have the "fire" to keep it open if casino gaming never comes to his track? Would it be a benefit for the Meadowlands to close and sell to real estate interests? In my humble opinion, I think it would be bad for harness racing.
