Title: Colonial Downs 3-day meet starting.....
Post by: dougie on March 10, 2026, 09:27:02 AM
I am excited for the 3-day meet at Colonial Downs coming up. Last year I hit a couple of good numbers at that track. Trainers and Jocks from everywhere allo over that turf course. Good luck to all!

I saw the entries for all 3 days. It's too early for turf racing in the East, and all the races are on the dirt.

Purses are huge. So glad this place came back from the dead.

Churchill bought out Colonial that is why the purses are so high

Churchill Downs Incorporated (CDI) acquired Colonial Downs Racetrack in New Kent, Virginia, along with six "Rosie's Gaming Emporium" locations, from Peninsula Pacific Entertainment in late 2022 for approximately $2.485 billion. The deal significantly expanded CDI's, the parent company of the Kentucky Derby, footprint in Virginia.
