The Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association learned late this morning that Hawthorne Racecourse intends to file for Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy. We still do not have all of the details but expect to be in court early next week. We will release more information as soon as possible.

two one toe ngc3 aka Hawthorne Race Course owes you money, contact the court and request the judge to lift the "STAY" after you've been notified you're are a creditor.
You do not want to collect, attempt to collect money while one toe is under the STAY protection.
You can end up with BIG FINES.

Looks like tomorrow might be the first court date-----debtor-in-possession financing-----rumor is that all of Carey's "partners" (the non-family members) are going showing up. Regulatory/Compliance counsel too.

The way they filing this type of chapter 11 won’t go thru very low percentage

Debtors are looking for a 363 sale.....in short, meaning all of assets are sold free and clear of any liability.....the y hope for a suitable buyer who is interested in a "going concern sale." Really? Fortunately, it's not up to Carey. Any hope for a reorganization so they can restart operating MUST be approved. Ain't gonna happen. At least it shouldn't.

The horseman, the bad check recipients need to file a criminal case.
Hard to prosecute a business, that's a judicial question...going after the responsible party, individuals doing if from a personal account no problem.
