The Illinois Harness Horsemen's Association learned late this morning that Hawthorne Racecourse intends to file for Chapter 11 reorganization bankruptcy. We still do not have all of the details but expect to be in court early next week. We will release more information as soon as possible.

Based on that, it looks like the horsemen owed purse money are just another creditor.

Honest question, will they still be able to stay open? Will OTBs be able to stay open? Not that they simulcast many tracks because of Timmy Carey owes millions to his non paid fees.

two one toe ngc3 aka Hawthorne Race Course owes you money, contact the court and request the judge to lift the "STAY" after you've been notified you're are a creditor.
You do not want to collect, attempt to collect money while one toe is under the STAY protection.
You can end up with BIG FINES.
