I've never heard that happen but I'm not a horseman or owner, is that common to pay out purses to horse connections entered in cancelled cards?

They were all set to draw this morning for Saturday and Sunday when the plug was pulled again. Aside from the horsemen I feel bad for all the track employees whose jobs are already decimated and now there's no work at all.
Race office employees, judges, Vets, camera guys, announcer, charter etc...

Last time I was in Del Insko's barn there was still a couple winter time horse masks hanging up. I bet they had not been off the hook in 20 or so years.
They would stick out a couple inches so would help in a photo finish. For that reason it had to be so cold before you could put one on your horse.
