Title: A driver's objection upheld at Northfield

Merriman files a driver's objection against the eventual winner and the judges took Marc St. Louis down after a five-minute inquiry in Race 7. Wonder what St. Louis did to piss Merriman off. I can't remember a driver's objection being filed before.

I am driving the favorite.
Just past the quarter.
I hesitate at the 2 hole as I need just a little more room.
The guy sitting third hollars "Go ahead kid you got room". As I go in the hole he grabs his horse and then puts in an objection.
We both get called to the phone.
I heard The Presiding Judge Bob Milburn tell the SOB "Nice try, but don't try it again.
The SOB was Jim McGarty.

I’m gonna guess and say they both started in the quarter horse business.

Yes, they were both Wis. school teachers.
