He's at least a "B" track driver, which is what I consider The Meadows. After Palone, Wrenn, and Merriman, the rest of the driving colony is "C'" or worse.

I doubt Wrenn cares. he already takes Wednesdays off and only drives for Burke on Sundays

Correct. Back in the day before the breathalyzer, drivers would all have flasks of booze in their lockers. It was called "Liquid Courage".

They test, but who's testing / who's pee, and there are adulteration methods.
Most likely booze, they're so dopey it's hard to tell...but allow them to do it, and at a discount, I'm all for a good OD! tmbz1
