Title: Thank You Ann Fobian
Post by: Vince Treanor on November 19, 2025, 07:42:06 PM
A new Saratoga Raceway Hall of Fame (Shame) is being considered thanks to the generous donation from the estate of the late Ann Fobian, who would like to honor the horse people who had the most impact on the downfall of her favorite sport.
Initial eligible candidates for the class of 2026 are: Mark Beckwith, Brian Allen, Sean Campbell, Dan Wilsey, Saul Weintraub, Gary Leonardi, Kyle Spagnola, Rod and Todd Rooney, Kerry Karkos, Al Langile, James Morrill Sr., Don Hoover, Harold Story, Robert Jacques, Don McQueen, Roger Pultz, Christine Kane, Don Braim, Bruce Cogan, Bob Bongiorno, Bruce Mattison, Tommy Bossard, Lenny Powell, Bernard Stearns, and George Walters.

I’m familiar with Beckwith, Leonardi, Wilsey and Hoover - what did the rest of them do?

Is this real? Bob Bongiorno is scum. A cheater who I believe got a 10 year suspension. For his next act the classless Bongiorno ripped off many in the sport.

Kerry Karkos was a millionaire enthusiast who enjoyed driving his own horses. Not a drop of larceny in his blood. Your list is flawed.
