This is great for Indiana. I always thought Sippinonsearoc flew under the radar because of Louprint, but he is a great horse in his own right. World champion at 2, and BC winner at 3.

Burke has so many good 3-year-olds that he has to have them stand stud in different states so he's not competing against himself.

Nice fit for the state given that Capt Midnight flopped, try the sire line again with much better horse from that line. $7,500 is pretty stout for Indiana. The IN sale yearlings average $15,000, the percentage of yearlings sold at a loss at the recent sale in Indy is astronomical. In Ohio you can pay that, in Indiana you better hope it’s a top 10% mare or you’re going to lose money paying a fee that is 50% of the sale average

And hey no pressure to buy a share from Dr J, since Parham has her selecting the yearlings for the sale and sorting which session they get in, and she’s a paid consultant for Burke and gives him a list of what to buy. So when the breeders get asked by her to buy a share, no pressure ngc3

You can breed him or buy his babies, I won’t. Hes a great horse, the rest of his family is nothing special. 2 other siblings have marks of 55 or less. One made 80k. The mother made 375k and is a big bad john. Her dam had 6 other siblings none made more then 15k and none paced faster then 56.4. Maybe i’ll be proven wrong but for now an easy pass at least for me.

I recall Albatross selling for $6500. Ben Stafford had an owner willing to pay $7000 and was sending a truck for him and the owner changed his mind. I probably have the numbers wrong but am close. And as you say how did that turn out?
