That is right! The GOP have already agreed to a one year extension of Obama care subsidies while they negotiate about health care if the Dems would open the government. This "Clean Resolution" vote would give the Dems a victory for folks who use Obama Care. But Dems want over 1.5 trillion for programs removed by the "Big Beautiful Bill" put back in the budget. Won't happen. So the shut down continues.

The blame for this shutdown is squarely on the Democrats. The Democrats want to add 1.5 trillion in new spending to the continuing resolution or they wont vote for it.
Republicans have voted yes to pass the CR 14 times so far in the last 28 days. Each time the Democrats refused to budge, even just the 10 or so measly votes it needs to be approved.
Chuck Schumer has voted yes for this same exact CR many times, even when Biden was in office.
This is a political stunt devised and implemented by the senate Democrats.
They are counting on the media shills and the uninformed to spread and believe it's Trump's and the GOP's fault.

So you are ok that they took down on a government website the fact that legally Trump had to fund SNAP. So the government being shut down should NEVER have stopped the funding and yet the Trump admin went to court to stop the actual law and do it anyway. What I had hoped is that the GOP would allow an extension of Obamacare subsidies for another 12 months while thay try and fix the healthcare mess with the Dems. I also feel that the most vulnerable in our society who always seem to get "the shaft" while wealthy Congress members collect their checks need to be protected. Programs that feed people who truly need it should never be part of this stupid government shutdown. I know that the Dems want many of the programs cut and not included in the Big Beautiful Bill. I agree with many of those cuts. But as a GOPer, cutting food and medicine for the poor will always be a "non-starter" for me.

2 Federal judges ordered Administration to use the funds put aside already for SNAP

My personal health expenses have gone up quite a bit in recent years, and I don't have an ACA plan. It's reasonable for those with an ACA plan to receive some sort of hike.
