Title: Why can't the Breeders Crown finals be held in one day?

I know the answer.

Most race cards are 12 or more races. When the Breeders Crown was held at Pocono they raced all 12 races in one program.

Also, it being late October, the Breeders Crown would be better in the daytime.

They decided to do what the Breeders Cup does and make it  a 3 day event. It may work with T-BREDS but not with harness.

Over 2 days, they make more money.
Grab you for 2 over priced meals, 2 days of large handle, etc.

I think you got a good point there. I remember in the 80's they held the Breeders Crown at Pompano Park. Place was wall to wall packed. Long before the casino folks got involved.
