Title: Final Treatment Day/Final Goodbyes
Post by: The Real Voice on September 18, 2025, 05:07:46 PM
I am happy to post that my 23rd & final radiation treatment was completed on Wednesday.  Much to my surprise, as I exited the radiation room, a combination of eight of the technicians & radiation/oncology staff stood four on one side of the hallway, four on the other side - - clapping and offering congratulations on concluding my radiation treatments.  I must admit, I got a little emotional.
My radiologist/oncologist once again reviewed my weekly radiation results and remained quite pleased & very optimistic.  My next PSA will be the week of Christmas, and my next meeting with the doctor is scheduled for the Monday after Christmas.
So it's off to Maine on a red-eye tonight to call eight straight fair days of harness racing at First Tracks Cumberland Raceway starting this Sunday, September 21, through Sunday, September 28.
From the bottom of my heart to the many, many people who have reached out to me over this last month, I can't thank you enough for your care and best wishes!  It will always hold a very special place in my heart!
Please make sure to tune into our races!   May God continue to bless you all!  I would like to add I was in tears when the staff were waving and clapping they're final goodbyes to me.  I have come to realization that although I have completed my treatments, my days are certainly numbered.  Thanks to all my loving fans and generous customers of my products throughout the years.  I will miss you all!

Very nice news, Scott.  Thank you for keeping us in the loop.  You’ll find the driving colony in Maine has undergone some change.  Casey has health issues and is not well enough to drive, and Drew is in trouble with the law again and has likely worn out his welcome in the Pine Tree state.  More opportunities for the youngsters, and the likelihood of KSII and BruceR dominating even more.  In any event, looking forward to your description as events unfold.  Welcome “home”!

Congrats, I did 36 treatments, then hormone shots a few years later. Feel great. Those teams are the best. It's still going to take you some time, but it will get better. Enjoy each and every day.
