Post by: Dale the Snail on September 05, 2025, 02:39:52 AM
I am really missing the late night action from Cal Expo.  Anybody else feel the same?

- Helping out the nighthawk mid-2a eastern crowd -

With Cal Expo and Fraser out the fall door,
Late night easterners shrinking options,

Do Sat night quarterhorses at Los Alamitos do anything for you,?

Or try, and I do Saturday nights, after Moh, Meadowlands and NField & Hoosier done, go offshore with Bet365, betting the Sat night greyhounds out of Australia. Tbreds and harness are there from 'down under' too but for some fresh fun, full 8 dog fields most races, easy harness-like classifications and lines to follow and solid prices posted right away, withdrawls direct deposit within a day or so..(Bet 365 pays out 5% above the middle price of the three recognized Australia bet operators each race...win, place, quin, ex, tri, super every dog track + win4 races 5-8 'quadrella'..min bet .01 cent for any wager you choose)

*Racingandsport.com you'll find free pgms/ and the radio race calls
*Sky Racing Live, youll watch the races

Anyway..some all night options.

Most employed easterners go to bed at that time.

Miss Cal Expo soooo much. Robin C told me that Scott and Lisa chased people down to pay their tack shop bills before it closed. I'm ok with that but Scott wanted to charge interest and late fees on top of what was owed. That's nuts! A few horsemen said they wouldn't pay. I wouldn't pay extra. That's for sure.

Sad that harness racing couldn't survive in CA. A bit of an island unto itself, other than W. Canada. I remember many years ago when some of the big barns sent horses out there. I remember Tom Harmer shipped Falcon Seelster out there. LOL. Jerry Silverman was out there for a bit, and so was Joe O'Brien. Last time I went out there, it was a long time ago, LOL, and Ross Croghan was still out there and getting ready to come to NJ.

That place was a shi_ hole. Los Al on the other hand was quite nice back in the day. Nice drivers colony with Steve Warrington, Plano, DR Ackerman, Lackey, Gene Vanlandingham.

Their management disconnected with everyone, and this is not surprise why they lost their lease and harness racing ultimately failed in California, crazy the largest state and it failed.

Maybe they were laundering money because racing was ehhhh.  Same ol same ol inbred cookoos and a couple of drugger shipper teams.

They might of filled in a blank here and there but the worst fucking horses around.  One old poor horse never won in several years was then 13 years old and a bottom claimer, c'mon, some sympathy for the animal.

People suck!   :P

Listen I don’t want to hear any bullshit about my friend Scot e the announcer.  He was loved by everyone out there. And to the ass clown who said lisa and him charged interest at expo tack shop, why shouldn’t they? Would you let those ungrateful bust outs steal from you? Scot and lisa are great business people and califonia is to ever rave harness again they will be the ones to lead the charge.

Coming here of all places, someplace you know they're so nuts (at times)  they start roasting people in their own obituary, shitting all over them and their family members possibly about their adverse experiences.

Honor your friend by telling stories, sharing pics and videos, finding like minded people.  You chose to do that of all places, harness racing chat rooms, not start a Scott E. Facebook group or a group text.

You can come here and start or find a thread and Scott E.'s protector, but you're really angry, your friend is sick and it's not unusual to want trouble a fight.  It's normal.

Silencing, threatening, will get you nowhere here but more of the like.

Since everyone loves them then build a statue of Scott and Lisa where the track used to be since they and management did such a great job  ngc3

Better than coming someplace you need not be which is 99.9999% of the world and telling those people you'll silence them.  You wont!   ;D

One of my favorite movies.
If Scott has cancer I would agree to lay off.

If Scott has cancer I would agree to lay off.

I heard the guy call races, beyond that I don't have anything much to contribute, nor would I go out of my way to give a hard time to a person with any stage of cancer or their friends.

With that said, read what I originally said and they don't come to plop and make demands and threaten others who might not of had a good experience with these people.

Knowing this wonderful clown car here goes after people in their own obituaries, they come here of all places, they want a dust up for sure...please  ngc3

I don't have a bad thing to say about Mr.Ehrlich and his wonderful family.  I just know that he was an excellent announcer at Cal Expo and I applaud his efforts in preserving the sport.  It appears that he and his family are trying to enjoy the time he has left with us.  I was informed by a friend that Mr. Ehrlich has cancer.  I know from personal experience that his treatments are inevitably fatal treatments as the number of treatments increases.  A good friend of mine was on a 24 day radiation regimen.  At first he was very optimistic due to the simplicity of each short treatment bearing no pain.  However, after thorough research by many of our friends, we were terrified to learn that as the treatments increase, the pain will begin to occur and the overwhelming toll of the radiation treatments will overtake the patient.  (The Process) Every treatment increases the percentile by nearly 8-10%.  The end result is inevitably a fatality.  The process allows the patient to have hope but in reality the only winners are the doctors and medical team billing the insurance.  My good friend made it treatment #17 and it was painfully obvious at that point that he was not going to survive.  Age also played a major role.  He was only 59 when he left us.  Over the age of 60 will increase the percentile even more rapidly.   My thoughts and prayers go out to the Ehrlich family and I really hope that he is enjoying his ride.  Its unfortunate but that is the process.

It's only fair that Earlick has the big C given that he made everyone's ears bleed with his nonsense for years at Maywood and Balmoral. All we can do now is tell him to pack his crappy duffel bag with extra aloe because where he's going gets real hot  68xv.2 68xv.2 68xv.2 and the object of the pick 3 is to have Gacy, Dahmer, and Manson anal probe you round the clock.

He was obviously the last race caller at Cal Expo.  Was he the last race caller at Balmoral and Maywood when they went belly up?

You couldn't mute him out.  I obviously don't understand your pain, 3 serial killers sodomizing the dude in hell for all eternity.  Seems like the proportionality is off of his "crime" and your desired punishment.

(Psychosis at Horseplop is a real thing  ngc3)

Sorry to hear that Scott has medical issues. Praying for better health. He was a decent announcer. Following Tony Salvaro who was beloved by everyone had to be tough. I remember the first time I heard him was at Quad City when I was visiting my friends who went to Augustana. Cancer is a bitch. Hope for the best  tmbz1
