We gained some serious support, the Central Park Conservancy itself wants them OUT of the park. So by this time next year it's possible there's no carriage horses in NYC and no Yonkers Raceway!  ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3

This happened about an hour ago, this shit needs to stop. The Conservancy warned the city, we've warned the city, the answers were big real estate wants the stable property. Watch the dude bail then the driver running behind the carriage screaming FUCK FUCK!. Unreal. https://youtube.com/shorts/NoBhrBmoLZ0?feature=share

Holy shit, that really could have been catastrophic.

They're an absolute bunch of fucking idiots. Can't tell you how many times I see them leave their horse unattended. It's NYC, they walk off, next they get a tickle or the wrong sound....GONE. And they blame everyone else. This just might be the final straw to force the city to act.

Thats what it was like driving at Lebanon back in the 90's.

Is that like when you see one person paddocking 3 or 4 horses in  The paddock??

I'll rephrase. Unattended standing loose on a hack line hitched to a fucking carriage in NYC. LOOSE. And then they can't figure out why they're running around the park. This one sounds like he got out to take pics of the people in the back. This story has more "BTW Calhoun? NY Post was tipped by my X account you said is useless". There were two people in the carriage with no driver, one was dumped, the other guy bailed.

While this is overall good news, what will happen to the carriage horses in work right now? With no oversight, they'll be headed to Mexico or Canada, let's just be honest.

You mean the same thing that happens to them now when they can't work anymore? So in three years when the phase out is complete these people won't have aftercare in place for them....LIKE NOW??? Last year my group IDd a carriage horse named Bernard from the Clinton Park Stable who broke down and was found in a kill pen. Feel free to read the story. My Facebook group members found him, I called Edita Birnkrant and now he's not meat. So can you answer why they aren't safe from the pen NOW???

They're not. And the phase out is better than one mass exodus for them. Just thinking of logistics.

No need to educate me on what goes on with them; I have several on the payroll, to to speak, that were apparently someone else's mess to clean up.

No need to educate you? You certainly seem to be uninformed. They have no aftercare plan NOW. That responsibility falls on every owner of every horse in the city. If their days in Manhattan should end tomorrow which happens frequently they have forever homes waiting? Uh huh. Normally the Amish farm or broker they bought them from comes and takes them while replacing them with another. The former never to be seen again. Unless we snag them at the pen like Bernard. Don't bullshit me. Try again.

Mike, why are you trying to argue with someone who agrees with you? I applaud what you're exposing. I am simply thinking out loud as to what is going to happen to them once they aren't on the streets. I get they're no safer now but they're no safer with no job, either, unless there's homes for all of them, which is the never-ending problem.
