I remember when wrestlers did not look like HULK HOGAN and Hockey players were 170 pounds and looked like your average joe and my number one athlete DR J i thought could fly without wings and miles on a off track went in 2.12 and Drivers had mud all over their face and this was all fun to me. Now this was a shock to me as i went to Buffalo raceway to see the grand Circuit and and bet lots of money on 2 Greenwood horses that i thought were machines and i loaded up on a 3-2 shot with Ron Waples that i thought could not lose but there was a 2 year old called French chef coming in from the Meadows that just jogged by a length and could have won by many and it was special as i thought at the time that this was harness racings Secratariot and the next week it was greenwood getting the Grand Circuit and i was listening to the radio that afternoon and Stan Dancer was on and the host asked him who was the horse he had to beat and this was the shock when he said i dont really know the other horses and the host said but you will look at the program and he said that could only get me in trouble and i knew he was great for the game because he created payoffs and made the game a great puzzle that rewarded you well when figuring out the puzzle, There is no puzzle in todays racing with a huge chop.

Not after that opening quarter! Regardless, Artie's Dream was very sharp that day.

French Chef was hard used to the 1/4 pole--27.4--in those days that was unheard of
Artie's Dream paid $3.60 to win-which was quite a gift

I remember the race very well. Artie's Dream was very sharp and coming on strong. He was super impressive in his elimination. I think he tied or just missed the track record for 3yo's. French Chef was coming off a monster 2yo season. He won 20 of 22 starts.....as a 2yo! In the final, Seahawk Hanover left hard, but Stanley wasn't letting him go under any circumstances and put him in the pocket in 27.3.....in the slop! Artie's Dream pulled first up from the 3 hole and we all know what happened after that. LOL. Artie's Dream won it, Eastern Skipper (placed) second, Seahawk Hanover third. I think in the final Artie's Dream may have broke the track record set by Niatross.....and again, it was in the slop!

Computer was the best that day and actually was the best all year. Brutal trips cost him many big wins. Beaten favorite in Meadowlands Pace.

Brandywine was a great track. on the same night i believe another horse went a real good mile. BANDELIER . I don't remember the driver but he looked small and was Italian . That was a great night of racing in the rain! tmbz1

It was nasty weather that night. I just can't remember Bandelier racing that night, but I do remember him winning the American National with Butch Paisley.

many years ago i played poker on the boat in indiana and was talking horses for a few hours with a guy and i told him that he sounds like he lived at the track with just like me and he replied saying with asking me if i knew who he was and i said no and he told me he was Walter Paisley and i laughed and told him i thought you understood the game very well.

I was hoping Paisley read plop and made comment on my post but i had the feeling and its only feeling that he still wanted to be in the game but he felt the game had left him, Rarely did i ever run into a driver at the casino but i did many moons ago with Kieth Waples who never played a dollar while there and most of you know that Jean Rene Plante is a pro poker player who is very good.

Shelly told me he was going to beat French Chef the night they raced at Liberty Bell. Goudreau not the owner. He tipped very early,it didn’t matter. Artie was incredible that night. Great race!

You see that Mona Lisa looking tab underneath "change color" above if you hover over it it says "Insert Image". Click it and it will give you this in your post. Then right click with your mouse over the internet picture and choose "Copy Image Link" from the drop down, and then left click it and to paste the picture between these 2 guys (http://(here)).

Thanks. The insert image button is in a different spot. I found it and I tried that. The issue is, the pic I have is not on the web. It's on my computer, LOL. Thus, I don't know what to put in between the two img brackets. LOL. I tried copy/cut and paste, but that didn't work. It's a jpeg file I have on my laptop as a friend of mine emailed it to me. Thanks again.
