Is the balloting all over? Is this great horse winning best 3 year old and Horse Of The Year? I think he may have locked up both awards.

if Sierra Leone beats Sovreignty in the BC Classic--HOY might be close
3yo title is over
-
3 year old title definitely a lock. Let's say he finishes a strong 2nd or 3rd in the classic.. I still think he gets HOY. A win and it's a unanimous vote, or should be.
-
I think I need therapy for betting against, not for losing ngc3, that I'm consistently good at lately ngc3 the betrayal is killing me! ngc3
The horse is nuts, looks at the other horses, like they're horses. ngc3 I think Sovereignty might of not only locked up Horse of the Year, but Trainer of the Year too, what did Mott really do anyway, Junior says he's basically a passenger - that hasn't fell off or got dqd! ;D

It was a weak field but ultra impressive. I read this morning he now owns the 3rd and 4th fastest times at the Spa for that distance, and he was eased up at the wire.

Since Godolphin, is like one of the richest horse owners in the world, and the #1 in purses as owner, maybe they'll let him run at 4.
We gamble, why can't they?!
You got to take a deep breath to recite this bullshit: Godolphin is owned by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Dubai.
He's got enough wives and children he can buy Horseplop and they can get rid of us and talk to each other ngc3

Does Godolphin take him " home" as a 4yo?

Thanks Papi, here's one about Journalism racing next Saturday. Big day there and Kentucky Downs too.

Thanks for the articles boys.. it should be a great race. I said last week that Journalism will enter the Pacific Classic and then the Breeders Cup Classic.. never leaving his home base of Del-Mar again. Smart move by the connections.

I'm calling it now... Sovereignty is over rated. Beat Baeza and Bracket Buster at Saratoga while Journo tried a real G1 winner and ran great off a poor trip/ride.
If Fierceness, Mindframe, Sierra Leone and Nysos (if he leaves Witness Protection) run in the Classic and all run their races, Sovereignty will beat exactly None of them.

I will agree Rispoli hasn't been giving Journalism good rides-always seemingly giving him too much work to do
I strongly disagree that Journalism had a poor trip...in fact one could argue Journalism had a very good trip(would have been better if closer to the pace)-sitting behind a very fast and contentious pace..whereas Fierceness pretty much ran through a fence and did a lot of heavy lifting, closely attending that relatively fast pace and still turned in a powerful move blowing by all the speed--easily Fierceness had the tougher trip and won anyway
As far as Sovreignty goes-he has 3yo and HOY titles wrapped up--but he wont be on the "greatness list" unless he wins the BC Classic..which a race where he will be favored

If we're in agreement the SPA ran slow...
The Jockey Gold Cup went in 202.16 yesterday.
Sovereignty won the Travers in 200.70.
Sovereignty ships in well...maybe a world record is set.
We're in opposite camps lol! ;D

No matter what, we can all agree it'll be a hell of a race. I would give the slight edge to Mindframe.. He just ran almost 1 and 3/4 miles yesterday on the far outside rail at Saratoga. Great workout for him ngc3. In all seriousness I never would bet against Irad in a race like this one is set up to be. Me personally, always bet the older horses against 3 year olds.

Sovereignty ain't a 3 yo he's an "old soul", you didn't recognize? ngc3

Mindframe has intentionally has been very wide his entire career-he doesnt like being on the inside of horses
so yes-he loses lots of ground--but will always be raced that way
much like a harness horse preferring to race first over(Docs Fella)-one could say..."only if he wasnt first up"--only to see him be raced first over again and again

You are right, but I was just joking since he lost Irad yesterday and he ran the entire course on the outside fence.

It looked like Irad was the only one inhured, did Papi take a shot to the head too?! ngc3

I know you were joking..I was just rambling incoherently, been reading Trig too much ngc3
the horse has credentials to run a monster race in the BC Classic and at 10-1 or over ..I am sure that race wont look good to many--but he cant be judged on that race
should be a great race
Sovreignty
Fierceness
Sierra Leone
Journalism
Mindframe
Authoritarian
White Abarrio
Skippy long stocking
Baeza(maybe)
Thorpedo Anna-(McPeeked said maybe)
foreign entities also

Sovereignty just need not fall down or lose Alvarado. ngc3

at 10 furlongs..Sierra Leone and Sovereignty appear to be the two best going that long..but the others have shot if they get perfect trip scenarios
it appears Irad is ok and will ride at Kentucky Downs on thursday
