Anyone remember Jackie Lee?

My wife and I had dinner at Sardi's after a Broadway show and George was at the next table having dinner with Ernie Anastos. He recognized me and sent over drinks. Class act.

I'm guessing the thoroughbred syndicate didn't work out as projected..

Anyone remember Jackie Lee?
Anyone who attended Roosevelt Raceway from the late 60's through the mid 80's remembers Jack E. Lee. I vividly recall someone on the main level, near the finish line, who would stand there and yell up at Jack if he didn't like the outcome of a race.. and ONCE I saw that person take his losing tickets, fold them up into his mouth, chew them and swallow them ;>>) (no joke.) RR was an amazing scene, from Ed Sullivan at the Cloud Casino (rooting on David Deutsch) to the colorful group of trainers on the shed rows, to Lou Monte grubbing $$ for bets in the Clubhouse..
quite the show.

He stole that from Jack E Lee who gave every driver a nickname, especially at Freehold.
