Title: SPA Sunday, Day IX, 7/20/25 with a touch of Woodbine
Post by: Trigger on July 20, 2025, 02:00:33 PM
Yesterday was a good day, started well, middle well, then a huge cooler, but still a winning day and cut into the last 2 weeks loses by 1/3!

Tracks at the SPA look Fast and Firm and a couple of stakes at Woodbine look like Fast and Good turf.

SPA 9th Stakes G2 honorable Miss:

Going with the 2, 4, 6.

3 is scratched.

#1 looks like she needs another race.  #2 is winning and strong off like every recent layoff.  #4 the class of the race 2 races 2 places at the SPA. #6 can run well without lasix and last was a monster, 2 for 2 at the SPA.  All the rest whatever, not seeing it.

Some Woodbine selections for their 6th and 9th stakes races soon!

Good Luck!

Woodbine 6th stakes:

Only 6 horses, I like the Pletcher shipper who switched to trainer Attard #3, and the class #2.

Woodbine 9th stakes:

Taking a shot with the #6, only 2 lifetime races, fast workout looks like they needed to get that out of her system so she can go the route which her pedigree suggests she possibly could do.  Last race, leapt at start forgiving that one.

Shameful handicapping.

Rushed.

Going into 9th I didn't seek to re-study, revise based on the late sloppy track.

I shrugged off Johnny V at Woodbine.

Got bailed out and saw a small profit on the day from Plainridge race 7.

Sad!   :P
