Nice call in the 6th fuckwad. I have the 1/3 ex burried, calls her moving into second, yet she was NEVER second. Go back to the piano fuckface, nice call.

"Digging back in it's (2) Rhonda Mae for second when it was 1-2 from before the 3/4's. A stupid, lying, incompetent fuckface!
We all got hammered there yesterday, almost no cannot lose horse won, some didn't hit the board. That place is treacherous!
Oak Grove is EVIL! ;D

I remember back in the 90's he was wandering around the YR clubhouse dressed like a bum with holes in his shoes telling stories of woe about shipping to Monti and the drivers up there would never give him a hole, parked the mile every time.

Can we actually say he's come a long way?

A few years ago, at the meadowlands, he drove in a race against the regulars, and thought it would be intelligent to park out his 90-1 shot against my horse, who was on the lead. They went 53:3 to the 1/2, his horse then made a break and interfered with the 1-5 favorite and ran last, mine finished 3rd, but was never the same after that race.
I still hate his guts.

Was this call on the radio?

Dave Little says Peter is a Renaissance Man. It takes one to know one.

For what it's worth Pete is an excellent race caller and Ray does a great job at Oak Grove too. The funny thing, it is like thie guy who started the thread thinks the race would have ended differently if he got the call right.
-
Ray does a nice job but he needs to come up for air once in awhile because he never shuts up and overanalyzes the race to death. If he's being paid by the word he's making good money.
-
IMO, there are much worse race callers in the game, and “much better” race callers make mistakes too.
-
Is Ray the guy with black hair that looks like someone Jeff Foxworthy could do a whole show about?
I had to mute the TV because I couldn't handle listening to that guy talk.
-
Yep, that's him, long dark hair, glasses and never shuts up. He also talks a lot with his hands and his wardrobe could use an upgrade.

You talkin to me, you talkin to me...No it wouldnt of ended differently but get it right please.

and for what its worth i think they both suck donkey dick

Pete's a below average race caller but he's a million times better at calling a race than he is driving a horse....very dangerous on the track...hung the mile in every race ive ever seen him drive

And he's delusional about it, blaming the other drivers for not giving him a hole.
-
The top drivers are usually given holes by the other top drivers because it's scratching each other's back, amateur drivers don't get the same courtesy.

Over a 30 year period at many tracks and post positions?
I have seen the worst of drivers tuck in 3rd or 4th once in a while.
-
Sometimes the bad driver's reflexes are too slow to get into a hole when it's there or they're trying to get to the top at all costs.
-
i agree, as bad of an announcer as he is, hes a complete professional compared to watching him drive a race. Makes guys like verusso, Lee and sheridan look like campbell, o'donnell and Lew Williams.
-
He's very dangerous driving and probably shouldnt be allowed.
-
pete is a decent race caller, at least appears interested
ray does a great job of education and informing on handicapping and wagering
remember not everyone are experts and cash every race like you fellas
also like the fact he comments after the race and kind of summarizes what happened
what would you prefer, music from the 1980's like most other tracks do with the time between races
-
yes

I rest my case

Dave Little says Peter is a Renaissance Man. It takes one to know one.
I would rather have jumbo Dave driving my horse instead of Peter.
-
Dave would break the sulky if he sat in it.

He might be heavier than the horse.
He might lift the horse off the ground if he sat in the bike.
-
You would need a Clydesdale to pull him around, or maybe the whole team of them. ngc3

Is there a special bike that can be rigged to an elephant?

Sometimes I think Horse Plop = Twilight Zone! All of the replies to this thread and not one calls out the original poster for this bet! What are you doing betting a 1-5 shot on top of the clear second choice at 5-1? What was that exacta paying, even money or odds-on? Where is the value in that? Too much bad stuff can happen, especially in a harness race, to bet even money exactas. Note that I'm not criticizing the poster, just this bet.

babinga
that question opens up a whole new can of worms
