Title: Dax Seelster
Post by: hoosierboy on July 02, 2025, 03:00:37 PM
Wow Tetrick picks off for a 7-1 from 11 hole.  He must know something odd makers don’t.  Or was green hornet behind the scenes begging Burke  for drive.  Seems like a odd

Nice catch, I got the stable alert via email, thank you.

Dax does show a QUA break, but I'd imagine YG gets first pick for that barn despite the qualifier, unless YG qualified another horse that race, but I dunno either.

I'm very high on him!

Big M, Fast track, 11th Race - #4 Dax Seelster!

Half brother to All Class paid 35k for a DE bred. That’s a lot! Burke said he never got beat in any training mile.

I like Dax too.  Other horse had a little more closing kick so who knows if it was Tim’s choice or Burke gave Yannick the option.  Think we can get Dax at the morning line?  I’m hoping.

That is high for a DE bred, I’m surprised more in DE don’t breed to he’s watching.

Here's a BigM program link:

https://playmeadowlands.com/download-programs/

At the ml, without even studying the race yet, I'm feeling 1/1 and if it was less it wouldn't surprise me.  TBD...

I'm seriously hoping I'm wrong!  ngc3

Dax looks 1/1 or less--the morning line looks like a Brower line--very inaccurate--7/2 is fantasy land

Bongiornos horse will take some money

betting wise--#11 Tetrick's horse would be the obvious value play based on expected odds for Dax

I would guess it was Timmy’s choice since he was listed on both but who knows anymore.  TT qualified him both times I think.  Time will tell

7/2 did look funny, I’m thinking 5/2 at very best.  I’m thinking maybe a yannick/timmy box.

Yannick not going to Delaware to drive. Timmy owns Dover and Harrington. Easy choice and better horse.

Full 11 horse field with lots of competitive depth. If that horse goes off at even money or less the only possible strategy is to bet against him and if he wins, on to the next race

A tough race to analyze and predict as Gateway was a GOOD track and we'll probably see a FAST track at the BigM for race 11.

Before I start, everybody better take a look at Frantic Hanover who was found watching these replays, omg.  He'll be racing 7/7 at Pinocchio downs in race 10, #3, another Burke monster.

Not liking Tetrick the 11, he was urged in the stretch of his qualifier.  Tossing the 2, 3, 6, 11.

Funny how Todd M. ended up on  the 1 over the Harris horse, the 10.

Joey B, pulled the plugs but resisted going to town on his 7.

Still Dax, #4.

4 / 10 7 1 5 8 9

$100 win 4 = $100

$10 ex 4 /1 5 7 10 = $40

$5 ex 4 / 8 9 = $10

$2 tri 4 / 1 5 7 10 = $24

$1 tri 4 / 1 5 7 8 9 10 = $30

$1 sup 4 / 1 5 7 10 = $24

$.20 sup 4 / 1 5 7 8 9 10 = $24

.10 sup x saver 1 5 7 8 9 10 = $36

.50 sup x saver 1 5 7 10 = $12

= $300 balloons

Adding  ngc3

$10 win 1 = $10

$5 exx 14 = $10

$1 tri 14 / 14 / all = $18

.10 sup 14 / 14 / all / all = $14.40

= $52.40 + $300 = $352.40
I'm done now, you couldn't pry another penny out of me for these 2 yos!   ;D

Absolutely nuts that the 10 horse scratches in the 11th race.

The 1 might actually be a very live horse.

Todd M jumped from 10 for the 1.

I'm leaving my tickets alone, refunds will be my insurance   ngc3

Made like $60 on the race.

Would of done better putting the $350 to win on Dex.

The 5 broke, 10 scratches, oh well.

The time of the race a fucking crawl, the 4 was breaking after the race, it wanted to still run.

And for anyone who would ever say, Trigger's alleged bets are full of shit.  See below.  The only change I made was the .50 sup box 1 5 7 10 I cancelled just before the race to put .50 sup box x 1 4 5 7.  Which lost, and I would of got another $12 back lol if I left it alone  ngc3 :

I think a pass is in order.

First para-mutual race.

Went from day racing to night.

Went from good tracks to fast.

And in the end the 9 was not flying by, looked confident surrounded by horses, debut.

They're running for $25k, what did you expect a sub 152 mile, which he likely has.

My point, looks are sometimes deceiving and the race went as planned.

not trying to be a dick.....but you posted...
Dax Seelster

Burke trained, Bradley Grant owned, driven by Timmy T.

Please watch qualifier from 30.50-32.50

This little Bulldog baby maybe already can go 150, and looks like one helluva a nice smooth ride!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxf23-3H9zo&t=1970s

you saw a 54.4 qualifier  at Gaitway and said "he  maybe has a 1:50 mile in him already "

then, after a not so impressive win...you bring up a series of excuses such as :

1) first pari-mutual start
2) day to night racing
3) good to fast track
4) mention racing for a purse of $25k, then declare.." what did you expect, a sub 1:52 mile"-after saying he might have a 1:50 mile in him already

not saying he wont be a good one...but your backpedaling and excuses for him are adding up quickly so far

not trying to be a dick.....but you posted...
you saw a 54.4 qualifier  at Gaitway and said "he  maybe has a 1:50 mile in him already "

then, after a not so impressive win...you bring up a series of excuses such as :

1) first pari-mutual start
2) day to night racing
3) good to fast track
4) mention racing for a purse of $25k, then declare.." what did you expect, a sub 1:52 mile"-after saying he might have a 1:50 mile in him already

not saying he wont be a good one...but your backpedaling and excuses for him are adding up quickly so far

The game on this one just started hold your horses genius and the win was very impressive.

Burke said from his own toilet mouth he ain't going into 5th gear on anything unless the money is on the line.

All the other elements of challenges / changes for the horse were true, not bad for a 2 year old, undefeated lol.

Why don't you NOT bet him, I'll, we'll take that action!

And btw who did you bet?   ngc3

I don't bet M1 but I watch certain races

you are 100% correct -- is only one race and I truly hope you are accurate and he turns out to be something special  tmbz1

I disagree that the win was "very impressive"--but as you say it is early

it is difficult to actually live up to the hype--maybe this one can

Dear Yannick,

Papillon, the smartest person to ever walk the earth  ngc3 has figured out that I secretly tell you live and behind the scenes how to rate a horse.

No, I don't know how he figured it out.  ngc3

I feel the horse has a 150 in him and I said it out loud, who knows it's early but takes balls to say maybe even a 2yo pacer of the year contender.  tmbz1

If I'm wrong, I'll face ridicule, because having the guts to speak up and make a prognostication, put your money on the line and be wrong has deadly consequences, yet I'm still here.  ngc3

Sincerely,

Backpedaling, lying, scumbag (so far correct and a scintilla richer)  ;D

why so confrontational?

I didn't attack you and so far we just disagree on how impressive his debut was

my reply to you was respectful and I never declared anything about my opinion

relax please--i did not intend to come after you

I love when someone (like you) responds, starts a conversation with me by saying "not trying to be a dick..."  ngc3

I'm always so hopeful the conversation is going to be productive!    ngc3

I predicted he'd be 1/1 in his debut too, in this thread, you must of forgot!   ;D

I wish you and Dax all the best and it would be good for racing if he  goes undefeated and takes the 2yo award tmbz1

If I was right and Burke is successful, it's a paradox, I don't care for him.

But I don't take it personally, it's business, and I cannot disqualify anything or anyone on feelings, nor factor them in.

I don't believe in jinxes, and I've been wrong in horse racing many many more times than I've been correct, I've improved though.

I ain't betting that horse, or any horse in the blind unless I don't have time to study and then it would / might be a small, standard attempt.

1:55 is not an impressive race but how many people would love to have a pacer who could win his first start as a two year old in 1:55? What was impressive is how several horses can at him and he responded when Gingras asked him. The pace was not fast so the other horse should have had plenty left. He is already a racehorse. We will find out what his ceiling is. He will need at least 5 seconds to win a race like The Metro Pace.

As stated on the live feed, the barn didn't send him to the Ontario Sires for tonight when they already were sending othjers up there. Metro would be pretty difficult if they don't think the horse is is a top level sire stake horse
