Title: A question for the Old Goats...
Post by: The Exporter on June 28, 2025, 09:26:36 AM
In the history of the Yonkers Trot, has there ever been a race where all entrants were by the same sire. All 5 last night by, Chapter 7.

I would have to doubt it; amazing that only 5 of the over 40 eligible declared.  Emoticon Legacy would have probably wiped them all out, but his connections clearly didn't think the trip was worth it.

I don't recall a race in NY where all the entrants were from one sire however, I do remember decades ago looking at a chicago race with all the entrants sired by Sportsmaster and another time seeing a chicago race with all horses sired by Cole Muffler.

Trotting triple crown used to be a big deal. Meaningless now.

Back in the day, I remember a NYSS that was a full field of Speedy Crowns.. he was dominant for a long time.
