JOHN FRANK ARMY comes from great family's on both sides. Tons of UNCLE'S and they all served in WWII or KOREA. Includin me DAD who passed at a young age,who served in WWII in NAVY. Most me UNCLE'S were navy. HAD 2 that were ARMY. I that was a tail gunner on a B-52 that did 17 missions, His plane got shot down one time and he survived. 3 weeks later he went and volunteered again as tail gunner on other missions. Other UNCLE was a SUPMERIANEER. He never really talked about his EXPERIENCE. And my wife's Dad WAS A navy man. His ship was sunk and he had to endure bein in water while SHARKS were swarmin around and took many of his shipmates. It left him totally incable of functioning the rest of his life. Always wonderin: Why did I survive and they did not. Say he was weak and not able to overcome. Became a ALCHOLIC and drank himself to death.
Back to ME. And I've stated many times before. I'M in JUNIOR COLLEGE on a DEFFERMENT and on DEAN'S LIST. I looks at the WAR in VIET on TV and says to meself. IT TIME TO GO. IT me DUTY to help defend USA. 2 months later.I a E-! makin $ 92.00 dollars a month.

And when me first got it and assigned,I was at one of the most secretive bases in the STATES. I only took 3 day passes at the time. But told: If you head into SALT LAKE CITY,make sure you not go in uniform. And do not talk with strangers who might be tryin to dig INFO out of you. One other tin. I've seen over the past ten years fellow SOLDIERS with my same classification come out and dis-regard the OATH. THeir speakin out.
