Title: Harrington 6/9
Post by: Kirbys Ace on June 09, 2025, 05:38:04 PM
Don't forget folks to get your place bets down on the 9th race.

Our boy is coming out of the 5 hole!

Misjudged last week and got 3rd. What are we going to do this week?

Allan measured that one like a pro!  Made that look like he was going for it!

On a Harrington side note, if you ever want to know who Jack bet, listen to his race calls.  It’s fucking hilarious.  Watch, and more importantly listen, to the Open tonight, race 5.  Jack is calling #7 Adam Twelve all the way down the lane, like he is swooping the field on the far outside.  Barely gives the winner, who was loaded when the passing lane opened up, a mention.  The horse he was yelling about finished 6th in a 7 horse field.  Was he beaten in a blanket photo?  Nope, at least 2 full lengths.   ngc3

I like how it goes on week after week, and the judges just sit up there and laugh!

Alan sat behind the winner in stretch until he had to move because horse behind him would of trapped him. Its ok though because I'm cashing tickets left and right on him!

Get ready for another episode next week of racing for 2nd!  73cv.2

Jack turned 80 earlier this year. I've known him 40 years, and yes he bets, and sometimes it gets in the way of his race calls.

I can't remember when Jack has missed a night.

Been in Delaware racing for 39 years and I can't remember the last time he has missed a night calling the races.

Think he missed one night at Dover maybe 8 to 10 years ago, not sure if Marv Bachrad called that night or someone else. If you remember when Fat Jack Talley used to announce at a few tracks, he'd bet all the time, and you knew it because if his horse got passed in deep stretch he would go silent or be in total disbelief.
