Who's going to be leading beard for Hall and Wagner?

Might be upstairs as a judge. He was one at Rosecroft.

OD races always have lots of movement. Good 1/2 mile racing. I dont think there are any druggies there at the moment
-
Also no PT drag making it a pleasure,
Race 2
P3 1/12/1
#1 likes the 1/2 mile track and Foster been very live lately

Oh they're there..Morgan(Reynolds) Fulton, Still, Trotto and Ferrell for a few. Maybe not top juicers but they're there!
Why the hell Millman would get mixed up with Wagner is beyond me.
-
It would be nice if they fixed the video feed.
ML in race 3 is ridiculous.
Race 3 should be a 1-2 line up Box em
Northfield p3 bonus race 4 15/2/267

I used the 5..And yes video feed sucks!

Ocean downs is the place to be, 'where it all began, where it is today', just like the Roosevelt Raceway lingo by Stan Bergstein in the 1970s tv shows for OTB.

I used to go when the parking lot was a muddy mess. Grandstand was a wooden tinderbox. $800 purses. Vacationed in Ocean City. Body surfing during the day. Crabs for dinner. And Ocean Downs at night. Life could not get any better than that.

Race 4 #2
Back in late 60's my family just started racing there. I remember selling newspapers for the Baltimore Sun and making 5 cents a copy! Going out to the parking field and pushing people out when it rained for 10 cents!

Didn't want to start a new thread BUT Running Aces has a 'Very' impressive turnout tonight.
Most that I've seen a harness track for quite a while. Doubt it will transfer over to handle but nice to see.
-
Race 4 was supposed to read #4 per my p3
Race 5 6 win box 46 p3 46/234/4
Kirby, I figured you pushed me out but my first year at the ocean was 1976
-
Started when Richard Ring was the top driver..1967

Running Aces is One of the few tracks that I have not been to.Been to Canterberry a few times and they drew well. People in Minnesota need to get out when springtime comes and no better way than to spend the day at the track

Who did George Anthony call "shorty" He was usually in the top 5.
-

I see Scofield down on Chaney's horses,,Rut FO,,What happen to J Crites Jr?
Crites got popped for doping at Rosecroft. Forget how many days he got.
So glad to see Hall gone. He's as bad as Wagner. But then again..they aren't really "gone".
-
They had track feed problems last year. Glad to see they got it fixed 11.wp 73cv.2 You'd think they would have had plenty of time lol

So just move them to Scofield and back in business! Never miss a beat.
All this crying about the cheats when the judges and racing commission are the main problem!

Ray Robinson Jr
Yep Thanks
-
Total handle was around $175,000 tonight.

As I recall Richard Ring's fulltime job was working for DP&L, (Delmarva Power). You also probably remember Guy Banks.
-
Is it Richard Ring, or Richard Ringler? I remember Guy Banks.
-
It's both, Richard Ringler who passed away fairly recently was more a trainer than anything and used to develop alot of Pat Lachance's horses. Richard Ring had a very small stable, his best horse was Phillip G.

I agree with you. I’ll add Emerald Downs also as a nice track with big crowds. Seems like the crowds don’t translate into handle because it seems like it’s a social outing for most.
Ocean Downs is great. After a day in Ocean City it’s great to go to the races at night.

I will concur with Emerald Downs...I have been there a few times when visiting family in Seattle and they get a great on-track crowd.
Aces is definitely one of the tracks I would like to visit.

Richard Ringler no relation.

I remember him from Georgetown Raceway back in the 70's. They also raced for $500 purses regardless of the class, but alot of them raced 2 out of 3 nights per week, some even 2 nights in a row.

Raced there as well back in late 60's early 70's. Cold as shit!

There used to be a Star bus we took from Clemente's Travel Center in New Castle down there. One snowy Saturday night we were running late because the roads were bad, and they held up the 1st race until the bus got there.
