I completely understand that your early pick 4 ticket is likely to cash. Im curious tho, could you explain the strategy of that ticket from a gambling standpoint?
-
How do you play his picks?
Box all four for exacta, trifecta and superfecta?
Or do you play it straight? box first two for exacta? first 3 for trifecta?
Confused!

in regards to the early P4...
Race 4...I thought the 2-1 ML, while surely capable, had some troubles facing older horses last yr at NFLD.
It is a very competitive field and longer shots have a shot...
Like #6 Quick Trick...if the front end is softened up, he could fly by them all late.
While I could have left one horse off, I'm not a fan of the "all but one" wagers.
I rarely give out ALL's in my wagers, but since the ticket was small, i thought it was worthy.
in regards on how to bet...
everyone has different bank rolls and styles.
I always recommend to new people/small wager people....to play the top 2 over the top 4 in exactas for only $6...wont win alot but wont lose alot as you can still have fun without wagering alot.
My top pick wins 41% of the time, top 2 is at 64% and the winners is in my top 4 86% of the time...so, you can construct your tri and supers accordingly....
Hope that helps and best of luck,
GSB

Your numbers suggest that you are sharp. If you have a dead on opinion against a favorite, I don't understand how using him is appropriate. So many people do it and teach that strategy. If that horse wins and you cash the ticket, was your ticket a good one? 99% it is not and most times your get back less than the ticket cost.
What's wrong with a $7 p4 2/16/6/1?
You would be light years better off with that ticket in the long run if you are sharp.
Or $3 2/16/1267/1?

Early DD race 1 6/123
Race 2 p4 123/12/34/1
Thoughts on using 123
#1 Judge Me Again...has raced well on the 1/2 Aaron for Beaver...Likely pacesetter
#2 Bubbles Out...strong closer, first time on the 1/2 though
#3 Mandys Rottenapple...dri ver change and should be well placed early at nice odds

Race 6 p5 14/46/3/1/3
Race 9 p3 1/3/45

Race 15 dd 9/149

Tough loss boys. Page guns you down. Beat Irvine with the horse he had been driving. Turn the page.
-
Mistake to leave Page off any ticket at Northfield. Lesson learned
-
Very upsetting that they didn't show any video of the backstrerch inquiry in the 11th. It certainly looked like Merriman came out and interfered with Page.
