And during the end of the meet, they hosted a week long racing calibration. Drew crowds of 30,000+ for Arkansas Derby and a couple other stake races. All without gaming revenue.
Kentucky's new life is based on the Oaklawn system.

Plain and simple. As long as that stays constant, OP will excel. At YR, the Rooney family abandoned racing. They smelled, saw, and salivated over a casino, got it, and every dollar they invested went into the casino side of the property. Racing was nothing more than a necessary evil. And then they sold. Highest and best use.
