Title: Engblom
Post by: Harnessfan902 on May 12, 2025, 03:05:59 PM
Per starts his suspension Friday and just lists his brother in Pa and they go on racing like nothing happened.  And we wonder why harness racing is dying and the handle is shit everywhere.   Agree or not he had his day in court and lost.    Disgusting.

During his suspension, he's not allowed to have anything to do with his horses including showing up at the barn, correct? Is there someone from the Racing Commision to check to see if he's violating the terms of his suspension?  I'm sure his brother is well schooled on which horses get what and so on.

I know this may shock some. But things like what happened here are what I'm actually fighting against, besides sticking up for the horses. If this had been any regular schmuck they'd be screwed. Remember when the NJRC changed the Bute window and never notified anyone? Then enforced what were really unfair positives? It was BRICE COTE who wouldn't let one old guy use his friend who was in the same barn as he to go down as trainer for him. But here, his BROTHER who's already his second trainer.... ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3 ngc3
This is no shock, I think this one might be someone we can all agree on. Just bend over a little more for the Lords in charge.

How many times Ron to Michael Burke? I remember Jenn to Joe Bongiorno. The game is corrupt they don't even hide it anymore.

They don’t have to hide it.  Track management and the racing commissions keep slapping the horsemen in the face!  But the horsemen who are getting the shaft and their representatives won’t do a thing about it.  So it’s hard to feel sorry for them.

Only way for them to force any kind of change is unity. Don't dare do it alone or with a few. This I know....

Absolutely, stop entering and make them cancel cards or enter and scratch leaving 2 horse races.  But they won’t.

He shouldn't be allowed at the barn and shouldn't be allowed to have any contact with the new trainer or owners.
Phone and computer logs should be available to authorities at any time to confirm the no contact.
Suspension is extended 6 months for every refusal.

New trainer is his brother/current employee.  This is as crooked and obvious as it gets.  Glad I’ve started taking a liking to betting the t-breds.

A positive from 2 years ago, the suspension comes down a month ago and CONVENIENTLY goes into effect after the Borgata finals.....

But then again, we see it every year when Ron Burke gets a positive and they enforce over the winter while he is sunning in Florida with the babies.

Lateral move away from JB Racing? That's the guy that threatened to hurt Cushing for selling him a horse that broke down AFTER he was trained in the new barn. A story I'd like to tell eventually. Cushing and his partners had to partially pay him back to get him to back off. Nice, right?

Please tell my man!

Bully Boy told me this when he visited Dreamland last year, had a mare down street in surgery. So again, ask him if these idiots don't believe me. Sold Mondello one of his I wanna say NZ pieces, I'll remember which eventually. Bought for over 50k. Horse goes to Joe Bo. First thing they do is train the piss out of him, breaks down. Ronnie C gets the call from a furious Mondello that Ronnie "knew" this horse was lame. Ronnie said he had the one issue which was minimal and fully disclosed everything he knew about the horse. Your guy torched him and now it's Bully's fault? Mondello was not pleased, basically said he will suffer injury below the waist should he not make this right, take the horse back and pay him in full. At least Ronnie didn't completely fold, made a deal with his partners he has on the horse and Mondello to send him cash instead. Ten grand each, three partners. And that there is just another example of how the game is played today. True story.

Another was how Mike Rizzo got bounced from Yonkers for not selling his good mare to Joe Bo or to Pers owner that Jason offered. And I say that was the reason because two weeks after he turned down both offers and all the texts from Joe Bo YR stopped taking his entries, and hasn't since. TRUE STORY

Don't get me started when it comes to who the NJRC penalizes when found unlicensed on a sanctioned farm and who they let slide. Forget it, all you will do is get yourself in trouble. This one I can say, not worth them coming at you for showing them a fact.

Mondello sounds like a wannabe tough guy, didn't he have an issue in Ohio?  How about all the Throughbred episodes with this guy?  First guy to claim one with Engblom since the ban.  Just another dirty owner who goes through trainers one at a time.

One, the ability or whatever you want to call it, to appeal, defer, and ultimately take the days when you want or it's convenient-----simply needs to be eliminated. Due process can be attained without abuse. Two, regarding the bearding, it's simply a question of enforcement. When Rick Dutrow was serving one of his numerous suspensions (before his eventual 10-year suspension), he got caught. How? Because NYRA did the work and enforced the suspension. They checked phone records and bank accounts. End result, he got caught.

Three, I think it's deplorable that YR, NY's governing body, and everyone else involved, allows this to happen. They are the cause, and are perpetuating this. I don't want to hear the BS he fills races, has too many horses, too big to fail, and so on. It's all BS. Throw him out, keep him out (beard) and watch what happens!

Does anyone know who is representing him?
