While this is on the t-bred side, there's a lot to be said about the context and perspective.

Thanks for posting. On the TB side, nearly every race at Aqueduct is 5-6 horse race, and those horses seem to race every 1-2 weeks. There’s no recovery time. From an owners perspective, after 2 scratches they’re guaranteed a check, so the horse suffers.
