This will be interesting. A few drivers are going to have to change tactics a little
As we know Wally likes the Front.
-
Lying Jenny thinks he's washed up ngc3 ngc3 ngc3
-
He's washed up but Mark Herschberger is top 10 at Meadowlands according to Jenny.
-
Thank God! Welcome back! Always loved watching him at the Pomp! Cant forget Ranger on the list of pomp either.

Bruce Ranger and Wally are still driving full time today. Morrill Jr. is a few years younger and still driving too! It seems they still need to make a living.
Joe Pavia Jr. is a few years younger also and isn’t driving.
Where’s Kevin Wallis today??

Good question on Wallis? Haven't seen him at oak Grove like last couple seasons

I think after a bad accident Pavia's Dr told him not to drive anymore. And Wallis has been threatening retirement for years....
-
Two years ago he said he was retiring then drove some at Oak Grove and Corbin last year. Haven't seen him yet this year.
-
You would think at some point these older guys would want to enjoy some life. I understand loving to drive horses but you have to enjoy some of life away from the track.
-
Hennesey's career earnings are 80 million or so which seems like alot, but he's been driving forever, and never really made the kind of money the top drivers do now.

Most of that $$$ has been the last 30 years give or take!! The only 2 drivers that made $$$ at pompano were Bruce and Wally!!

It's a nice living, but he's not getting rich living in Florida and Saratoga half the year. I'm not comparing his earnings to other drivers at Pomp, just overall career earnings. Most of his wins haven't been for big purses, it's been more of a grind it out, except for Moni Maker.

He's made roughly 4 million for himself... so he's probably well off

He's not starving, but in a 40 year career it's $100,000 a year, which is way more than the average person makes, but nowhere near what the top drivers make today.

Have to remember he owned/trained for years also

I think it all depends on his lifestyle and how much he's saved. There are 4 drivers over 60 who have been very successful and are still driving, Wally, Palone, D. Miller, and Tony Morgan.

George Nap and Bruce Ranger also
-
George Nap is still in his 50's, maybe 58

Close!! George Jr. will be 59 this year!!
-
Forgive me for not having his birth certificate handy so I could be more exact!
-
That's not necessarily true. Rick Plano made a pretty good living at the Pomp.
-
Wally is set for life.!!
