Lets see what happens in the appeal process.
If this stands it sets the stage for any president to be prosecuted by his political opponents as soon as he or she leaves office.
What a waste of tax payers money.

Aren’t you leaving out the part he was found guilty by his peers?

It's well known that NYC is a far-left place therefore the so-called peers would be far left and in the words of Allen Dershowitz in a setting like that could lead to the conviction of an apple.
Without Trump derangement syndrome do you think it's fair that he was brought up on state bookkeeping violations that had long ago passed the timeframe in which they could be prosecuted so Bragg bundled them into a federal offense which had no time frame of prosecution.
That's right, a state court prosecuted federal charges.
