Title: Hey Aaron Merrman
Post by: bello on December 10, 2024, 10:37:40 PM
You will always be a scumbag as log as you ride for Billy Rhoades. You know exactly what is going on as does Dave Bianconi and the Northfield judges,

They are all like that.  Not one of them would ever turn down a drive no matter what.  You either drive for them or you’ll have to drive against them.  And you don’t make much money that way!  Weirdo Allard getting some “live” ones lately from Loney.  Just hope there aren’t any kids around.

NFLD is probably the most corrupt track in the land.  More hidden ownerships and hidden trainers than anywhere.

i wouldnt disagree with that thought. not really far from the truth.

Hidden owners maybe, but no track is more corrupt than Yonkers!  tmbz1

A_A_ron has always owened horses here or there. standardbreds(some he is listed/some he is not)  and thoroughbreds. also has racing pigeons.  he really loves to gamble.
Binky is a standup guy. family man, man of great character.

At NFLD everything runs through one man.  He calls the shots and makes the arrangements as well as passes out the envelopes.

i think its funny people believe that. im not saying binky doesnt do people favors. write races for some if needed. maybe go to bat for a guy if he needs it. as far as money getting passed around those days are long gone. those days were gone when plano left decades ago.
if a race pays bad you better believe the racing comssion will be knocking on your tack room door. i know from experience.
why would these guys risk a 300-500k dollar a yr career for a few hundred bucks a night? make it make sense. now im not saying they dont bet a lil or tell their guys hey i like this horse tonight he was really good last week and could have won.
but it is far from a huge operation. ask jimmy p and corky jones, david ward, and randy tharps how that went for them.

FYI, people in life have risked a good career for both less money and more money, your point is??

im not sure what you mean like calling the shots.
so bianconi calls everyon into the race office. says A-A ron you need to win race @ 3-5.  ronnie you duck sit last and never pull. kurt you need to be second. so everyone stay out of kurts way. elliott and billy davis you can be 3rd or 4th doesnt matter which way. ready break

is that how it goes? or do they do a zoom call now a days.
like i said im not saying he wont do favors opening up races for certain people. he always has. maybe he owns a few with billy or some others behind the scenes. he basically runs that place and has since aldrich left him the keys. it really isnt a bad place to race. they go fast but if you put your work in and take care of business you can make lots of money.

No Bianconi just sits back and let's Belcher be the Quarterback.

You are crazy.
Has belcher been racing at northfield for years. Yes.
Loney
Kovacic
Kash
Lee Deyarmen
Here are a few trainers.
Does  Biaconi know?  I'm sure he knows. But as far as him being in cahoots with big Bob is nuts.

Bob stills runs everything at NFLD.  He can make any trainer or driver he wants at a whims notice.

Most people don't realize how difficult it is to actually set up a race to have certain horses finish in a pretermined order. These ain't cars. Plus there are too many loose lips. Not worth the risk.

2 drivers can control a big part of how the race goes, the driver on front and the one first up. This has been happening for years everywhere

Yea, your right totally crazy that he has 100 head shipping on and off his farm in Jackson and pays for that farm just racing a few horses.  Bob's got 2 in about every race and as many as 4-5.  No one takes more money out of NFLD than big Bob.  Once a cheat always a cheat.  Probably still has his Sunday buffet down there at the Holiday Inn on Rt 8 with to pass out the envelopes. It was like people coming to see Vito Corleone there on Sunday.  Aldrich, Keidel, Bianconi...

now i know your fucking old ! the holiday inn has been closed for decades. cmon  get with it poptart.
the guy had stolen lawnmowers in the barn not horses. ive been to his farm and there isnt even stalls for a 100 head you dumb fuck.

and i promise you aldrich was not a bob  fan.

You don't have to be a fan to show up for your envelope.  Bob was the master at have 100 head with only 20 stalls on Rt 8.  Some stay in some stay out.  No one in the industry beside Burke is more efficient than Bob.  Could race 12 at meadows with 3 people.
