Title: Legit question about a horse
Post by: Mohawk mac on November 25, 2024, 04:28:23 PM
JOHNSTOWN JET (number 1 in the 7th race tonight at Mohawk) makes his 4th start back following a 6 year hiatus.  Does anyone know why the loooong break?

Only a guess but judging by the ownership, it seems likely he's been pulling a buggy.

Broken bone?

Could be. He sure didn't look like he had been on the road for 6 years. He was pretty animated in post parade and by the time he turned for home he wasn't steering well. Tough field and miserable conditions for a green horse.

He was also run out onto the track by the trainer from the paddock. Clearly a few issues going on there.
