Title: It's official! Betting has returned to Washington Park!

After 47 years of waiting since beloved Washington Park burned down in a mysterious fire in 1977, gamblers flocked to the reopening of a track that hosted thoroughbreds and harness racing for decades.
1 small problem  - where the track stood became a mall in between and now the Indians put a casino hotel there called Southwind.
Slots, sports betting, craps, blackjack- but no horses! .I hope the IRB makes a deal and puts a parlor in there. No Balmoral, no Sports Spectrum in Merrillville, nothing racing related out this way anymore after having tracks here for literally 100 years! Think of it; a century of horses between Washington Park and Lincoln Fields which became Balmoral, and now diddly squat.
I hope old man Langley is rotting in hell and Johnny Johnston gets run over by a semi. 2 jagoffs who took racing into the dumpster   11.wp

I am not up on all the history. I know Johnston got involved with Bago. What did Langley do?
