Sig Sauer 3,1:49.3 ($1,151,312), the likely choice for 2024 Dan Patch 3-year-old Trotting Colt of the Year is the winner of nine of 15 lifetime starts.
Sig Sauer won four of five starts at the age of 2 while taking a record of 1:53.3 winning the New Jersey Sire Stakes final. Sig Sauer is the fastest 3-year-old trotter of 2024 by virtue of his 1:49.3 win in the Kentucky Futurity which is the only sub-1:50 win by any 3-year-old trotter this season. In addition to the Kentucky Futurity, victories by Sig Sauer this year at 3 include his division of the Stanley Dancer, the Beal, and the final of the Breeders Crown.
A $200,000 yearling purchase, Sig Sauer is a breathtakingly handsome son of the great Muscle Hill out of Sigilwig by Donato Hanover.
According to his trainer Noel Daley, “There isn’t a 3-year-old trotter this year that can beat Sig Sauer when he is at his best.”
From a great maternal family that includes Back Of The Neck 1:51s ($1,463,733), Broadway Donna 1:51.1 ($1,434,735) and Fashion Schooner 1:50 ($765,454), Sig Sauer will stand in Pennsylvania at Hanover Shoe Farms for a service fee of $8,000. Shares in this exciting young stallion will be sold.

With Sig Sauer stud fee at $8,000 -- what will Karl's stud fee be? The same -- above -- below?
-
Karl should be 5000 and pray he has horrible pedigree at best.
-
It’s crazy to see how far Karl has fallen. Went from some people thinking he was one of the all-time best to not even going to win the three year-old colt division title.
-
Alot of times horses are given too much hype, too soon.
-
I said after he got beat before Hamboo this would happen. I even predicted the retirement early. This is typical Takter propaganda and it's played out. He's not even the top of his class and has bad pedigree. He won't make a sire and if you have any questions about Nancy and sires go ask everyone about Tall Dark Stranger....
