He'll be 55 years old this month, I'm sure he has plenty of $$. Maybe he's just tired of driving in cold weather.

Word was he was retiring.
This was BEFORE his family was complicit in a million dollar fraud.

Everyone deserves a little time away. A chance to breathe deeply and enjoy your family.
Of course a place without an extradition treaty with the US or Canada would be good. Better safe than sorry.

Everybody was pretty quick to talk about Sylvain's role in the Funtime Bayama scandal. Just going on paper, which might be the only facts anyone ends up going on, Moreau trained the horse. Period. First time I saw him live in Toronto, Moreau warmed him up. I have no idea if Yves was even there that night. Now, Yves was present and wearing his colors (in the winners circle) for either the SBSW or the NA Cup elimination----I don't remember which----but I saw him.

Does that mean Yves warmed him up that night? I have no idea, nor do I know what the rules are. I have no idea if Yves was involved as a "trainer" per se. He could have been, but again, I don't know what the case was, nor what the rules are. But, in the end, Moreau was listed as the trainer of the horse. He was at Moreau's farm.

So what role did Sylvain play----and I am talking what can be proven? When the horse got sold, Sylvain did say "we" were very happy, "we" got a price we couldn't refuse, and so on. For all I know Sylvain could be a partner in Bayama Farms (Inc.). I have no idea.

So, is Sylvain taking some time off another connect the dots conspiracy theory? If so, I don't have a problem with that.....but inquiring minds want to know, LOL.

Back when Yves Filion drove at Brandywine a long time ago, he had mostly claimers and the ownership was listed as Bayama Farms, and this is long before Sylvain started driving, but it's possible he owns a piece. My guess is, when he said "we" he was referring to his father.

Makes sense. The name has been around a very long time. It's been Yves' farm/stable name even before he had a physical farm, LOL. I would think Sylvain saying "we" means just what you said, his dad, family, what it meant for him----not specifically referring to himself. Could Sylvain be a partner in the farm, corporate entity, etc.? Sure.

But it doesn't mean he was "involved" in the training or the sale. I think someone here posted/said Sylvain taking time off may be tied to the Funtime Bayama sale, and they may have used the word "fraud" or something. I don't remember. My point is that Sylvain on paper doesn't seem to be involved. Not at all.

If someone wants to say he was, I say prove it. Especially if they are connecting the dots and saying that Sylvain taking time off has something to do with the FB sale, then yes, again, prove it.

You know people throw out alot of stuff on here about so-called doping trainers even though they've never been caught. Guess you're guilty until proven innocent, then they still won't believe it.

Jimmy Takter is 10 times more out there so called warming up or even driving occasionally yet Nancy is down and the horses are definitely stabled on the farm that mom and dad own Correct? So these bombs that Nancy puts up for sale on ongait and Luther’s buy are they being swindled ?
