No one abides by the rules that exist now.........CLASS 1 POSITIVES......ev erybody keeps racing........JUD GES are like THREE blind mice.......makes me sick......

I did see some Ohio guys tossed in a desired rule to limit 2 year olds to 1 start every 3-4 days aka the Nick Clegg, Rosie Weaver, Hank LeVan rule.
I know there has been a lot of discussion in the state around this and barns dropping sire stakes horses into the fairs midweek to steal a few grand from small barns for what ends up being a training mile
-
correct, that is exactly what is happening and needs to stop
more than enough for everyone, stop being greedy
sires stakes, buckeye or fairs, pick your spot
once you race in a buckeye you should not be allowed to drop into fairs that year, or if you do than you are not eligible for any further sires stakes and finals or consolations of sires or buckeye
your welcome Ohio, just solved your problem

As per usual, I see that the emphasis is on $$ taken away from smaller owners not the horses'
well-being. Rules, rules, rules. Few policed. Let 'em race where they can. Get a good one and you can too. 11.wp

A USTA rule change is not going to prevent anyone from racing in Ohio fairs. The USTA is a record keeping agency they have nothing to do with rules in Ohio. Ohio revised code dictates the rules in Ohio. The USTA has no jurisdiction over Ohio. If your horse is Ohio sired and staked you have the right to race it in the Ohio fairs and sires stakes that you have nominated your horse. You might as well make up your own rules in your head that is the same weight the USTA rules carry. You want to change things you need to have a law changed in the Ohio revised code.
