Monday Erv is offering Chevrons Bypass. The sale is on On Gait. I suggest you bypass bidding unless you have done a thorough inspection and vet check. Also make sure photos are current, Good luck, you will need it!

So just asking for a friend - If Erv were to send you a few bucks or call and apologize would you be willing to let it go? Public apology?
-
thanks for the warning
clearly ongait does not monitor or care what goes on
-
Thanks for warning me, I almost bid!
-
Never going to apologize, even if he did it wouldn't stop him from doing it again.

I don't think these repetitious posts are necessarily a bad thing.
I've never bought from Erv, but as an outside observer of his Ongait sales over the past 24 months, it is blatantly obvious that he is both misleading buyers with his listings and delivering a product that is completely different than what is advertised through race lines.
It is important to warn potential buyers about this. Numerous people have lost tens of thousands buying from him.

This is a game for insiders, much like Wall St insiders have a decided advantage.

Any "market" or "marketplace"-----whether it's online, like ongait, PEM, or whatever, or a live auction like the old Tully/Woodstock, PEM, Tattersalls, etc.-----can never be perfect. It is going to offer the opportunity for unscrupulous people and activities. It is the market-maker, auction/sales company, whoever, to do everything they can to protect the buyers and sellers.
Now, if they don't do that, it will become known, and then people will stop using them and their market. Even with that, in every market, it is still buyer beware, and the buyer can and should do everything they can. The former doesn't change the latter.
